Step by Step Process of Installations

Step 1: Go to the official page of nodejs and download the .msi file according to your Windows environment 32-bit or 64-bit.

Step 2: .msi file will be downloaded on your pc. Just run the node.js installer.

Step 3: Follow the prompts in the installer and accept the leicense agreement and click next button and finish the installation progress.

Step 4: Once the installation gets over, you need to restart your computer. Otherwise, you won’t able to run it.

Check & Test node.js installation

Verify that Node.js, whether it was properly installed or not. By running simple commands, you can make sure that the node was installed perfectly or not.

To check Node, you have to open the Windows command prompt or a similar tool and type the below mentioned command, it will print the version number like v0.10.35.

node –v

If you wish to check whether the npm is installed or not? Type the below command in terminal.

npm –v

Node.js alsways comes with a specific version of npm, but is doesn’t update automatically. We have to update the local npm version. So, for easy update of npm, run the below command,

npm install npm –global // Update the `npm` CLI client
